Kent Fire & Rescue USAR Team Visit KIA

The Urban Search & Rescue (USAR) team based at Maidstone visited KIA RFFS today (9th June 2008) for a joint training liaison session with E89Thanet Fire Station. They demonstrated a huge amount of rescue equipment designed to deal with a major incident in Kent. The equipment's scope can be utilised to deal with a major building collapse, persons trapped in well shafts, RTC, Large Goods Vehicle incidents, major train crashes and aircraft recovery.

"The training session lasted 2hrs and was of great benefit for all those in attendance."
